So we automatically provide you with life assurance cover if you have set contracted hours – it’s part of your employment with us.
This means your nominated beneficiary gets a lump sum payment of a minimum of typically three times your salary, in the event of your death while you work for us.
The level of entitlement changes depending on your terms and conditions of employment.
If the worst happens, we’ll contact the person you nominated to arrange the payment.
If you already have life assurance cover it may state that you can’t have a second policy. If you’d like to opt out just let us know and we’ll remove your cover.
You can nominate more than one person as your beneficiary and split the payment.
Just complete the details of all beneficiaries on your life assurance form and tell us the proportion that each party should receive. Just make sure the total adds up to 100%. Beneficiaries can be charities as well as individuals.
