Our Anchor Colleague Awards help all of us celebrate our colleagues for the amazing things they do every day.

Every month, colleagues who’ve been nominated are put forward for an award and the chance to win a £50 shopping voucher. The winners are then chosen by a panel of customer judges.

Everyone at Anchor has a voice and the senior team is committed to listening and acting to your suggestions, ideas and comments; whether they’re linked to small scale team changes or to wider organisational change.

And we’re committed to highlighting wherever we’ve listened and acted, and made changes as a result, so you can see the real difference your contribution makes

Plus every year, we invite every colleague in Anchor to share their views about working for us and to participate in the Listening and Acting colleague engagement survey.

We use the results to make positive changes on our journey to Achieving More Together and providing More Opportunities for Colleagues.

Our new Colleague Engagement Forum gives colleagues More Opportunity to influence how we work in line with our Business Plan and it’s a on the ways we Listen and Act on colleague feedback. The group meets regularly to give opinions, suggest new ideas and shape decisions.happens from time to time in different parts of the business.

Our range of learning resources and paths to help you achieve your career goals – whatever they are!

We want you to feel confident at work and we offer you opportunities to help you learn about, and be great at, what you do.

To add to our comprehensive induction, you can gain knowledge and enhance your skills through: 

  • myLearning, our on-line learning portal,
  • by attending group session away from the workplace
  • and of course through on the job practical experience.

For many this can include becoming qualified through our myRole Apprenticeships so, for our entry level roles you don’t need to hold a qualification – we’ll help you get there while you earn. For Care Assistants, once achieved, this means receiving the enhanced Qualified Care Assistant pay rate.

Everyone at Anchor has regular personal development conversations with their manager. These are great opportunities to keep track of what you’re doing well, where you could develop and what your next steps are.

All our managers are responsible for engaging, motivating, and leading their teams. A big part of that is making sure their people get the learning, coaching and development they need. And if you join us as a manager, you’ll get access to our Leadership Pathways.

The Leadership Pathways offering is for all leaders across the business which provides ‘capsules’ of learning to support leaders enhance their leadership skills. The capsules will hold a blend of learning resources such as hints and tips, guidance, videos, workshops, e-learning, activities and reading meaning that you can also learn during the flow of your working day.

This really gives you the ownership in creating your learning journey, providing you with choice and flexibility so that whatever your learning style you’re in control.

The offering is underpinned by the Anchor behaviours and will support you and your teams with myYEAR conversations, continual professional development and progression.

The offering is forever growing as more and more capsules and learning resources will be added in line with the need of the business.
