Colleague Awards

Our Colleague Awards help us all celebrate and recognise our colleagues for the amazing things they do and the way they do them, as part of #TeamAnchor.

Whether they’ve approached a difficult situation with amazing composure and helped create the best outcome for everyone or taken ownership to make a change that benefits residents or colleagues – we all come across someone amazing who simply makes our day, and our job easier, all thanks to the way they approach things.

Our Colleague Awards help us all celebrate and recognise our colleagues for the amazing things they do and the way they do them, as part of #TeamAnchor.

Whether they’ve approached a difficult situation with amazing composure, helped create the best outcome for everyone with the way they’ve approached something or taken ownership to make changes benefitting residents or colleagues – we all come across someone amazing who simply makes our day, and our job easier, all thanks to the way they approach things.

We can all nominate another colleague for an award, wherever they work in Anchor – by posting a nomination directly into the Colleague Awards Workplace group, and including details of how they made a difference and demonstrated our ARCH values.

Each month, the nominations received are reviewed by a panel of resident judges and the winners they select receive a £50 Love2Shop voucher and certificate in recognition. Colleagues in Care Services who are nominated also have the chance to be submitted as nominees for the Great British Care Awards.

What to include in your nomination

Remember to explain in detail why your nominee deserves recognition. Our judges’ decisions are based solely on what they’ll read in your nomination, so they won’t know anything about the person, what they’ve done or the positive impact they’ve had – so please share the full story behind your nomination and make it easy for our judges to see why your nominee deserves to be a winner.

  • Did your nominee go above and beyond? What task did they complete and how did they go beyond your expectations?
  • How do they demonstrate our ARCH values (Accountable, Respectful, Courageous, Honest)
  • How have they made things better for colleagues and/or residents? Have they been innovative and driven improvement?
  • Are they great at listening and acting? How have they used feedback to adjust their approach and make things better?
