Help@hand - your
new health app

Your health is hugely important to us, so we’ve teamed up with Help@hand to give you access to four handy medical services for free.

Unprecedented NHS strain can make getting everyday healthcare tricky. Help@hand’s valuable services for you and your eligible family mean you can speak to someone quickly from the comfort of your home, at a time convenient to you.

Eligible colleagues can access Help@hand, a completely confidential digital health service giving you access to four health services via one easy-to-use app:
  • 24/7, unlimited remote GP video appointments – so you can get fast access to a doctor at a time convenient to you, day or night. You will be liable for charges for medication and delivery, referral letters and private fit notes.  Available to you, your partner and children until their 18 birthday (24 if in full time education).  Please note this is not an emergency service and you should call 111 or 999 for urgent assistance.
  • Unlimited mental health support – from qualified mental healthcare professionals, subject to clinical appropriateness, for you and your partner. For mild to moderate issues. Number of sessions subject to clinical appropriateness. Should the service be no longer suitable, users will be directed to alternative appropriate support.
  • Physiotherapy — eight sessions a year shared between you and your partner, usually virtual appointments.
  • Medical second opinions – access to two UK-based private consultants a year, following a final diagnosis, shared between you and your partner and children aged 16 – 18 (or 24 if in full time education).

You’ll get a welcome email from help-at-hand@squarehealth.com which explains how to download the app from the App Store or Google Play and provides a temporary password to get you started.

Not received an invite email? Check your junk folder and check the email we have on MyHR for you.  If you can’t locate your email get in touch at reward@anchor.org.uk. Please note invites are sent out mid-month for new starters in the previous month.

All colleagues on permanent fixed hours contracts are eligible to register for Help@hand.  If you have not had your invite email yet from help-at-hand@squarehealth.com, drop reward@anchor.org.uk a note and we’ll sort it out for you.

It is free to access the core services on the app.  However, please note that any referrals to private medical professionals/facilities will need to be funded by you.  Colleagues should ask for referrals to the NHS/own GP for follow if they do not wish to pay for private health care.

Eligible colleagues have access to the four health service described above for free.  However, any onward referrals are not included in your benefit.  If you do no not have private medical insurance and do not wish to pay for private treatment you will need to ask for an NHS referral back to your own GP.
