Any amount, any charity
Payroll giving allows you to support one or more charities of your choice each month. You can donate to any charity, even a local one – all you need is their registered charity number.
How it works
Your donation is deducted from your pay before tax, so as basic rate tax payer a donation of £5 will only cost you £4 and the charity will still receive £5. This service is only available to colleagues on the Anchor payroll system with a regular salary. Unfortunately we are unable to offer this service to bank colleagues.

Yes, you can donate to any UK-registered charity, good cause, or place of worship. If you want to give to a small local charity that is not well known, it is advisable to include the registered charity number on your donor form.
No, you choose your amount.
Payroll Giving is taken straight from your gross (pre-tax) pay, so there is no need for the charity you choose to physically claim the tax back through Gift Aid from HM Revenue & Customs. This saves them money in administration. If you are a higher rate taxpayer, Payroll Giving is the only way that a charity can automatically receive all your tax on your charitable donation.
Anchor Group have signed a contract with a Payroll Giving Agency (Charities Trust), who handle all monies donated through the scheme and are regulated by HM Revenue & Customs. A copy of the form you fill in is sent to Charitable Giving so that when Payroll sends them your first donation, they know who the donation is coming from and which charity to send it on to.
This depends on when you fill in the form but as a rule it will start on the next available payroll run.
Simply choose your cause and decide how much you’d like to donate, then complete the application form and we’ll make the deduction each month from your pay.
The charities you donate to may also send you thank you letters and updates so you can see that your money really matters.
